I started paying for Humana health insurance at the beginning of this year in an effort to be a responsible woman who can take care of herself and ensure that if I got into a catastrophic accident or, god forbid, came down with some kind of awful disease, I’d be covered.
But after going to the hospital most people in Miami go to when something awful happens, and seeing how crappy the service is…and after going to a dentist in my network who did a crap job on my fillings on my upper right molars…and after calling Humana’s administrative phone lines repeatedly to get my payments automated to no avail…well, again, I am convinced that maintaining health insurance is more aggravation than it is worth. Is it my attitude toward the system that is making my experience less than it should be? Hmm. This is something to think about…
