“Harriette Yahr is a gifted and knowledgeable teacher. In only 4 sessions, I picked up more practical knowledge than I achieved in an entire quarter of a previous writers’ workshop.” John Kramel

“Intro to Screenwriting” class – this Saturday (9/12) at Miami Light Project. 10:15 – 4:30 pm.
I have also lowered the priceĀ due to popular demand. Yes, I do understand budgets are tight now.
Please email as soon as possible if you are interested. This Saturday will be an intensive day of screenwriting basics. I have lowered the price to 150.00 which includes materials (helpful handouts) and follow-up after class on a screenplay scene you will begin in class. I will offer personalized feedback and notes via email so you — and I — can make sure to apply your knowledge.
“Screenwriting 101 Intro” will cover many basics — including proper industry screenplay format, story, character, and more, including touching on business of screenwriting — though I am calling it “An Intro to Screenwriting” as it is just one day. There will be hands-on assignments as well.
Regular 3 and 4 week “SCREENWRITING 101: The Basics” classes will resume in October, meeting Weeknights or Saturdays. This will cover full course content.
In October, I am offering a very small personalized salon-sized workshop (6 students maximum) at my home near Miami Shores as well as two workshops at Miami Light Project (14 students maximum.). All of my classes are hands-on and you will receive personalized feedback on your writing. Please see www.MiamiFilmWorkshops.com for complete info and student testimonials. Class size very limited, pre-registration required.
No screenwriting experience is necessary. I often have beginners in my classes together with writers who have completed screenplays. Either way you will come away with a lot of practical knowledge. Complete info is on my website including my full bio. Directing/Filmmaking workshops also offered.
